Elwood over at DCUO Source has just launched his Build Planner for DCUO!

This tool is very nice! I am currently using it. Elwood states that it's not finished, and he is making even more EPIC improvements to it. I can't wait to see what he comes up with :D

The end of the beta is near, and the next step to legendary is coming…1-11-11!Tomorrow, Wednesday January 5, 2011 will be the last day of the DC Universe™ Beta in the U.S. and Thursday will be the last day to fight to save or rule the universe in Europe (in beta that is!).
To celebrate – we plan to stage The Battle of the Legends in-game in the spirit of the DCUO cinematic, "Who do you trust?" Beta players can align and fight alongside or against some of DC Comics most notorious superheroes and villains including; Batman, Superman, Lex Luthor and The Joker. Together will we take on DC's greatest icons as we embark on our own path to legendary! Show up to the battle when it erupts on your server! Check the schedule below and don't miss your chance to become part of the "Battle of the Legends!"
If for some hideous reason you cannot attend have no fear – we will update you as to the status of each battle on our Facebook site at Facebook.com/DCUniverseOnline and on Twitter @DCUO. We plan to have streaming video, screens and updates and hope that our beta players will contribute as well. One thing is for sure, this event will be legendary!
And, to add just a little more fun factor we have some special "legendary" guests joining us in a few of the events! Check the schedule below to find out who and when.

Ok thats the ugly, here is the pretty. I actually ran it on a Dell Inspiron 1525 Intel Pentium D t2390, 2 gigs or ram and an INtel GMA 965.
It took some tweaking, I used GameBooster and had to modifu some settings on the GMA 965 and used a tool called Intel Display Adapter Management Tool 1.0.
But after that I was able to run it on 800x600 and high detail characters normal shadows, normal textures and enabled antialiasing enabled.
So if it installs but won't play. Look on the forums and do some research. I am betting you could be able to get it to run.

Mentors!
The "Mentor" system in DCUO in my opinion, was a great addition to the game.
Come on.. Think about it! Who doesn't want to be hanging out in Gotham City with Bat-Man or Metropolis with Superman!
And with being mentored by one of the ICONIC Heroes or Villains gives you a chance to get a Battle Suit from your mentor!
Check out the screenshots below for a better look.

(chatpad)
The XBox 360 Messenger Kit or CHATPAD does not have any windows drivers made by Mmicrosoft.
So I decided to use my "Search-Fu"
I found something that might work. I haven't tried it yet, I need a chatpad first, but here is a project for the chatpad under windows. http://code.google.com/p/chatpad-super-driver/
It was a contest on a forum, and a user really stepped it up apparently.
well give this a shot and let us know, this could be really awesome for us as a community!
IF you want to read the whole forum on this, here you go.

If you are able to get this to work in game, pass the word on!! This could make the chatting a little easier.

GamePads
I thought I would start a post to list the compatible gamepads out there. Well the ones we have noticed that actually work anyway lol
All of the ones I tried worked great!
The XBOX 360 worked right out of the gate. The Logitech took some configuring. In the launcher, click "Options" in the uppler left corner. the launch the "Game Settings Tool".
It has a diagram of the controller and you can assign the buttons and analog sticks to what you want.
The ones I have used thus far are
**For the XBOX 360 Controllers, you will need the drivers for windows**
1st dropdown pick "CONTROLLERS"
2nd dropdown pick wired or wireless controller.
3rd dropdown pick your Operating Sysytem Version.
4th dropdown pick your language.
Click "GO"
The next page will have the download link to the driver and Documentation available.
PS3 Controller
Here is a small tutorial on how to get a PS3 controller to work on windows. I hope this helps a few people out

One industrious modder out there has created a simple program so you can use your PS3′s SIXAXIS controller on a PC like a game pad. Here’s what you’ll need to do:
1. Download this archive and install the filter driver (libusb-win32-filter-bin-0.1.10.1.exe).Unfortunately, the motion sensing features aren’t possible on the PC (not yet as least). But still, this is pretty easy way to net yourself a free usable game pad.
2. Unpack ps3sixaxis_en.exe
3. Plug the SIXAXIS into your PC.
4. Run ps3sixaxis_en.exe once.
5. Push the PS button on the SIXAXIS once if it doesn’t see it straight away.
